TAB 1: DESCRIPTION
Once a chicken reaches its maturity at 18 weeks of age, it requires a diet designed for maintaining a healthy weight and supporting egg production. The protein in layer pellets is lowered to between 16-18%,amino acids are added for the health of the egg yolk, and calcium is added to aid chickens in the formation of egg shells. The feed is crushed and formed into pellets to ensure the chicken eats the entire contents of the feed and consumes the most wholesome diet. If feed is spilled the layer pellets are easy to find while the chickens are scratching, so less is wasted.

Layered pellet feed is only available with purchase of a chicken. We do not deliver feed-only.
