ETA & Tracking Link

An estimated delivery time and tracking link will be sent by email and sms the day before delivery. The tracking link will allow you to leave notes for our team, and follow along with our drivers. Deliveries may occur as early as 7:00 am and as late as 7:00 pm. To receive local delivery, please plan to be there to accept your delivery in person. Refer to the delivery schedule for the estimated delivery date.

Delivered with Care

Our chickens, poultry supplies, coops, and planter boxes are carefully hand-delivered within zones listed below. Delivery prices vary. Handling and/or installation fees may apply. Chickens will be safely held in reusable, lined, cardboard poultry carriers. This protects flock biosecurity, streamlines order fulfillment, and improves the quality of poultry transportation.

Information for Pick-Up

Learn more about the pick-up process below.

Choose Location

If you plan to pick up at Dare 2 Dream Farms or your local feed store, select “I’ll pick it up myself” during checkout to choose one of our partner locations at a feed store near you. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours prior to pick up in order for consideration for next-day delivery. Please note that a longer lead-time is required for planter boxes or coops.

Arrive On Time

If you make an appointment, a representative will meet you at a scheduled time, or until all orders have been collected. (Note: feed stores don’t hold chickens for late pickup.) We don’t bring extra chickens to sell. If you are picking up planter boxes or coops, please bring a vehicle suitable for large loads, such as a trailer or pickup truck.

Prepare

Please support your local feed store and purchase your feed & poultry supplies when you pick up your chicks. We’ve vetted each feed store, to confirm they offer our recommended poultry supplies and feeds. Please see below for required poultry supplies. If you purchased a planter box or coop, please prepare your yard space according to the specifications on the service page.

Required Poultry Supplies

Purchase poultry supplies before receiving your chickens. You can purchase them from Dare 2 Dream Farms, and they can be included in delivery or pick-up. Or, buy them at the partner location’s local feed store prior to collecting your order.
 
You will need to confirm with the driver or representative that you have the appropriate supplies for the chickens before they will be released to you. A chicken coop will be required for baby chicks within 6 weeks of hatching. Plan ahead and order your coop now, so it is ready by the time they’re old enough to go outside into a coop.

$9.00 per Point of Lay Hen
The total cost of delivery is determined by the quantity and age of chicks, plus any additional poultry supplies. Please plan to purchase your feed and poultry supplies from the partner location’s feed store upon pick-up, to support local business.

Order Minimums

There is a minimum order of 2 chickens for delivery. For the health and safety of the chickens, Dare 2 Dream Farms reserves the right to cancel an order if it does not meet the minimum. Chickens cannot be kept alone without the companionship of other chickens, as solitude is detrimental to their health. Avoid adding a single bird to your established flock when possible, as integration without companionship can be stressful.
