Raised Durango Chicken Coop

The Raised Durango Chicken Coop is our smallest coop designed to house and protect up to three backyard chickens, raised 18″ for easier cleaning and egg collection. Made with Redwood sourced in California from Big Creek Lumber, a sustainably forested and family owned company, this adorably rustic chicken home features all the accommodations of a standard sized coop. Pair it with our Raised Durango Chicken Run to give your chickens a safe enclosed space to forage and play during the day.

  • Sliding gate latch make available the option to use lock or carabiner clip to keep raccoons out
  • Pulley system to easily open and close pop-door for chickens to access the enclosed run
  • Additional 36″ run extensions available to lengthen outdoor protected run space

Dare 2 Dream Farms coops are built to order. Lead times are approximately 2-4 weeks at this time.

We highly recommend selecting White Glove delivery and installation, to ensure your coop is assembled and installed properly.

The intended installation site must be flat and level prior to delivery, and the pathway to the installation site must be free of any obstructions and have a minimum of 30″ wide clearance at all times.

If you’re unable to meet these requirements, please notify your customer service representative so the appropriate arrangements can be made. Please Contact Us for an estimated delivery date.

You may choose to pick up and assemble this yourself. However, please note that you will need a large vehicle (i.e., a trailer or truck) to transport this. Contact us to assess the size properly.

Assembling the coop yourself will require at least 2 people able to lift 60 lbs. (3 people will make the process easier.)

Expect 6-8 hours to assemble.

Do it Yourself predator skirts require a trench to be dug around the coop once it is assembled.

Minimum tools required:  SCREW GUN, HAMMER, LADDER, LEVEL, CAULKING GUN FOR SOME ROOF TYPES, AND A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF CONSTRUCTION.
