Weaned Mangalitsa Piglets, Raised on Our Farm in Lompoc
Start your own Mangalitsa from the beginning. We’re selling a small group of weaned piglets from our herd, born this summer.
Mangalitsa is a slow-growing Hungarian heritage breed known for heavy marbling and rich, clean fat. Chefs call it the Wagyu of pork. Raise one out and you’ll see why.
Boars and Gilts
Born July 1. Weaned and ready for a new home.
- Boars: Sold intact. Plan to castrate early if you’re raising for meat.
- Gilts: Raise them for meat or keep them as breeding stock.
How Our Pigs Are Raised
Our Mangalitsa weaned piglets eat Organic Great Basin Landrace Rye grown by local farmers Nate Gonzales-Siemens and Rebekka Siemens. They also clean up broken eggs from our laying hens, leftover market veggies, and garden scraps. Nothing goes to waste.
How It Works
- Buy Online: Choose between boars (young males) and gilts (young females) and pay in full at checkout. Pigs are herd animals and settle in faster with a buddy. Consider taking two.
- Schedule Pickup: Select a pickup time at Dare 2 Dream Farms in Lompoc – we’ll need 48 hours notice to prepare your weaned piglet for pickup.
- Bring a Trailer or Crate: You transport your weaned piglets home. We’ll help load.
Before You Buy
- Check your local zoning. Not every property allows pigs.
- Pigs need secure fencing, shade, shelter, and fresh water every day.
- Inspect your pig at pickup. Once it leaves the farm, all sales are final.
Local pickup only at Dare 2 Dream Farms in Lompoc. 48 hours notice required. Questions? Reach out before you buy.
Not raising your own? Reserve a half pig.
